Embodied
She made tracks with each stride and hiking trail. She looked for guests and turned to welcome the visitors. Her back leaned against the counters while she listened with her smiling eyes. Soaked in love, she sponged and sopped us up. In her heart there was room for us all-especially the broken ones.
It embodies her. The warm breakfast, stirred and served. The knees that press into the garden bed and the hands that hold every seed. She rises with the Panderosa pines and encircles the labrynth walker. The river sparkles with her laugh and flows with her quiet stillness. The sturdy planks of her bridge connect us to one another and to the place where we belong.
