Checking In

Besides keeping healthy and sane, it is helping me to take small, daily action steps - like connecting with as many of you, near and far, today!

This morning, I called each of my WA reps, about 11 senators and congressmen/women.  It has always felt overwhelming to do it. The phone #s were surprisingly easy to find on a webpage. I now have them all as new contacts for my "daily dialing"  (of about 15 minutes.)

I left messages for my senators. Below is a way to assure they will call me back.

All congress people answered my calls in person this morning. All listened and promised to send my request: to take a walk with a journalist to that Treasury office and tell us what's going on! By this afternoon, it was looking hopeful. (I am SURE that my call made all of the difference! )

It must. I promised that I would keep calling, that I would fund their reelection campaigns if they helped my bi-partison issue. I also promised them that we are ready to come to DC to help them, descend on their streets and organize in their offices. (THAT idea brought a little silence to the conversation.)

You may already receive what Indivisible sends me each day. I understand that calling, as many times as you can and speaking to the issues, or - better - showing up in person, whenever possible, and without appointments. Joe went to Maria Cantwell's office on the bus this morning. He was excited. It was a democracy field trip!

All the best to you and us! May we all "keep driving", avoid the crazy drivers, their reckless accidents, not pull off the road, and keep moving forward!

To the goodness of our US of A -

Cheers!
